About Kit & Cradle

Kit & Cradle is a baby lifestyle brand with a focus on ethical practices, sustainability and care for ourselves and the environment and of course, we just love babies in gorgeous fun prints too! We have sourced super soft certified Organic Cotton manufactured in Australia from cotton grown in India.

We are a small family business based in Adelaide, South Australia, designing all pieces and even hand drawing the prints ourselves (except our spotty Dalmatians). This means they are truly unique, one of a kind designs.  Our fabric is hand printed in Melbourne using environmentally friendly water base inks. The final garments are then sewn in an ethically accredited factory in Sydney. Short run production ensures high quality pieces and support of local Australian jobs, the Australian textile industry and manufacturers.

We are so very proud to say our baby wear is 100% Australian designed and made.

Why Organic Cotton? Organic Cotton is a superior natural material. During the growing process, no chemicals including pesticides, herbicides or insecticides are used. They are also free of genetically modified (GMO) cotton crops. These practices are not only ethical, but strive for sustainability long term. They provide better conditions for the farmers who aren’t exposed to hazardous substances and lessen the negative impact on the environment, local agriculture and wildlife. Ultimately, this means the organic cotton used in our baby wear is of the finest quality, containing no nasty chemicals and is super soft and gentle on your baby’s delicate skin.

We also support plastic free packaging, using cotton and paper promotional products and tags where possible, wrapping paper sourced from certified sustainable plantation forests and The Better Packaging Co. 100% compostable and biodegradable satchels to send out your orders.

By purchasing from Kit & Cradle, together we can aim towards a sustainable and brighter future ahead for our little babes.  Thank you for your support.

Love the Team at Kit & Cradle x
