Our Story
OUR PROCESS
Sourcing Organic Cotton
We have sourced super soft certified Organic Cotton from India which is a superior natural material. During the growing process, no chemicals including pesticides, herbicides or insecticides are used. They are also free of genetically modified (GMO) cotton crops. These practices are not only ethical, but strive for sustainability long term.
Ultimately, this means the organic cotton used in our baby wear is of the finest quality, containing no nasty chemicals and is super soft and gentle on your baby’s delicate skin.
Our Artist Drawn Designs
All our designs are hand drawn by an Aussie artist Sara Duncan (except our iconic cheetah prints). Our designs have taken inspiration from nature, using the world's most spectacular flora and fauna in our designs. This means they are truly unique, one of a kind patterns that are exclusive to Kit & Cradle.
Screenprinting & Sewing
Our fabric is screen printed in Melbourne using water based inks.
The final garments are then sewn and manufactured in Sydney. Short run production ensures high quality pieces and support of local Australian jobs, the Australian textile industry and manufacturers.
Core & Transeasonal Collections
We don't think good baby fashion needs to follow any trends.
Our designs are timeless, our shapes are tried and tested, and we believe in slow fashion principles.
We hold our core range all year long and offer transeasonal pieces and alternative colours throughout the year.
Considered Packaging
We support plastic free packaging where possible, using cotton and paper promotional products and tags. Our packages come in our natural calico bags and our satchels are compostable and biodegradable.
